Last week, I visited Haiti and witnessed one of the most complex humanitarian crises in the world. I spoke with teachers who continue to hold classes in makeshift shelters, doctors working with the bare minimum, and families who insist their children continue their education despite the challenges. I also met young people who are helping identify cases of malnutrition, connecting families to basic social services, and raising awareness about hygiene practices to help stop the spread of cholera. Haitians embody hope. However, Haiti is at a breaking point. The future of an entire generation is at stake. We cannot allow Haiti’s children to remain invisible or forgotten.
